Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time when exposed to air, moisture and everyday products. This is a normal characteristic of silver and can usually be removed with gentle cleaning.

Remove sterling silver jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising, sleeping or using household cleaning products. Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, body lotion and cosmetics.

To clean sterling silver, gently polish the piece with a soft silver-polishing cloth. For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap. Rinse carefully and dry the jewelry completely with a soft cloth.

Avoid abrasive sponges, hard brushes and harsh chemical cleaners, as they may scratch or damage the surface.

Store each piece separately in a dry pouch or jewelry box. Keeping sterling silver away from moisture and humid environments can help slow down tarnishing.

Gold-plated jewelry has a thin layer of gold applied over another metal. The plating will naturally wear over time, particularly in areas exposed to frequent contact, friction, moisture and chemicals. With the right care, the finish can remain beautiful for longer.
